Dr. Karim Al-Khatib
Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
DDS, MD, MSc, FRCD(C)
Dr. Karim Al-Khatib is a dual-trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon, holding both dental and medical degrees. He completed his extensive training at Dalhousie University, earning his specialty certification alongside a Master’s degree in science.
With a broad scope of surgical expertise, Dr. Al-Khatib’s clinical interests include:
Dental implants and complex implant reconstruction
Wisdom tooth removal
Maxillofacial trauma treatment
Orthognathic (jaw) surgery
TMJ disorder management

Prior to joining Apex Surgical Centre, Dr. Al-Khatib established a successful practice in New Brunswick, where he held hospital privileges and treated both trauma and elective surgical cases. Now based in Kamloops, he is committed to delivering compassionate, collaborative care to patients throughout the region.
Dr. Zeng
Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics
Dr. Zeng brings advanced expertise in prosthodontics to patients across Kelowna and the greater Okanagan region. After earning his dental degree from the University of Western Ontario, he completed his graduate prosthodontics residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received world-class training in implant prosthetics and full-mouth rehabilitation.
With a focus on restoring both aesthetics and function, Dr. Zeng specializes in:
